"The Tortoise and the Hare"
Jennifer Battle, Assistant Director of Sustainability at MSU:

We are all familiar with Aesop’s fable, The Tortoise and the Hare,
with the common interpretation of the story being that  “slow and steady wins the race.”
When it comes to leadership, is that interpretation correct?
Do we make true progress by being steady and methodical or taking big bold steps?

Most mid-Michigan residents, businesses, governments, public institutions and non-profit organizations have something in common:  they care about the environment.   The Tri-County Environmental Leadership Awards (TCELA) publicly acknowledges residents, businesses, governments, educational institutions and non-profit organizations in Ingham, Eaton and Clinton counties that have implemented exemplary environmentally sustainable practices.  TCELA is coordinated by a committee of local professionals collaborating on environmental education.

Share your story!  Add your name to the 2012 Mailing List!    Spread the word and help others reduce waste, conserve energy, improve the environment, and practice sustainability.
